In-Office Part-Time

Boulo is recruiting a Part-TimeHuman Resources Coordinator for our client, a leading steel manufacturer based in Birmingham.

Employment Type: Part-Time, 20 hours per week

Flexibility: In-office, Monday through Friday, 4 hours per day

Pay: $26-30 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition into company culture.
  • Oversee the off boarding process for departing employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with plant managers to address staffing needs and provide necessary support.
  • Utilize platforms like Indeed to post job openings and coordinate staffing requirements for plant managers.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, offering guidance, solutions, or appropriate referrals.
  • Maintain compliance with up-to-date plant and office postings.
  • Manage the filing of essential reports, including EEO-1 and OSHA 300 Reports, to uphold regulatory compliance.
  • Provide quarterly benefit reminders to all employees.
  • Support safety initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and good follow up.
  • Experience in filing mandatory reports such as OSHA and EEO-1, demonstrating regulatory compliance knowledge.
  • Familiarity with various types of leave, including FMLA, LTD, and STD.
  • Professional demeanor with a solid understanding of compliance principles.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in human resources.
  • A positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Previous experience in the manufacturing industry preferred, providing valuable insights into industry-specific HR practices.
  • Familiarity with the ADP Workforce Now HRIS system preferred.
  • SHRM certification preferred.
