DescriptionHuston-Tillotson University is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator. The ideal candidate can perform a variety of office support and/or clerical duties for the Director of Human Resources and for the Office of Human Resources. The Human Resources Coordinator will also be responsible to execute the following:
- Supports all aspects of the Human Resource department to provide an organized and productive workflow
- Provides excellent customer service to staff/faculty and external customers
- Proactively supports all HR projects and system implementations
- Prepares and/or sends out internal employee communications
- Maintains employee files to include updating and maintaining Human Resource Information System (HRIS) records and compiling reports from database
- Assists with recruitment and selection process by managing positions within the Applicant Tracking System; process offers and background checks for candidates
- Manage new employee orientation. Ensures all new hire paperwork is completed and submitted into payroll system
- Ensures all monthly/quarterly invoices received are reviewed for accuracy and scanned over to Accounts Payable department for payment.
- Assists employees with HRIS system access and various HR related requests.
- Manage New Hire spreadsheet to track progress in on-boarding processes and to accurately note filled/closed position within HRIS.
- Manage Work Study Student spreadsheet to track progress in on-boarding processes and communicate eligibility to student and supervisor based on completion.
- Daily checks the physical HR mailbox and email inbox and responds to time-sensitive and all other communications accordingly.
- Performs other responsibilities as required and assigned.
QualificationsQualificationsA Human Resources Coordinator is preferred to have a Bachelor's degree in related fields or an HR certification. 2-3 years experience working in an HR office including benefits processing; Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills are required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proactive and productive approach towards all aspects of the job.
