Responsibilities:- Reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.
- Cultivates positive relationships with various company departments, including Shipping, Quality, Production, Maintenance, and the Corporate office.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with third-party vendors.
- Maintains HRIS system integrity by tracking and inputting employment changes.
- Drives communication of HR initiatives within the plant.
- Coordinates and executes employee relations events, appreciation recognition, and meetings as needed.
- Flexibility to work off-shifts for training, meetings, and open enrollments.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with union representatives.
- Stay updated on union contracts, ensuring compliance, and negotiating as necessary.
- Address and resolve grievances promptly and fairly.
- Facilitate transparent and equitable job bidding processes.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for hourly team members, from sourcing to onboarding.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and formulate effective recruitment strategies.
- Provide ongoing support to new employees, addressing questions and concerns.
- Act as a trusted advisor and resource for all employees on HR-related matters.
- Proactively identify and address workplace issues, promoting a positive and inclusive culture.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement employee engagement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Stay informed about changes in labor laws and regulations, ensuring company-wide compliance.
- Coaches, counsels, and guides managers in disciplinary actions and conflict resolution.
- Conducts recruiting activities, including attending job fairs, managing background checks, and facilitating new hire orientations.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2-5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably with a focus on union relations.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- People-centric mindset with a commitment to fostering a positive work environment.
- Preferably holds a SHRM certification.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, with experience using Teams.
- Bilingual in Arabic / Spanish highly preferred.
