We are currently assisting our client, a global leader in manufacturing, powering, automating, integrating, and securing critical infrastructure and facilities, in their search for a HR Business Partner (GOVCON HVAC/MEP Recruiting), for their Fairfax, VA location. This role offers an opportunity to be part of a team that designs, deploys, and sustains advanced technology systems, enhancing operational efficiency and improving outcomes for clients. In this role, you will, manage the maintenance and maintenance staff of facilities and manufacturing tools.
Location: Fairfax, VA - 100% Onsite (not remote or hybrid).
Salary Range: $110K - $140K salary base, plus bonus, mileage/travel reimbursement local/as needed, expedited career pathing track, with stellar benefits package, PTO, 401k, STD, LTD, tuition reimbursement, and much more. Relocation assistance is available, based on candidacy.
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 7 years of progressive HR and Talent Acquisition experience within industries such as engineering, field operations, technical services, or similar.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of business operations and the ability to translate organizational objectives into HR strategies.
- Demonstrated success in leading initiatives related to performance management, employee engagement, and workforce planning.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in data analysis and HR reporting to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
Summary:
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a strategic and hands-on role in aligning HR practices with operational objectives to drive performance and organizational success. Reporting to senior HR leadership, this role provides expert guidance to business leaders on workforce planning, talent acquisition, and employee engagement. The HRBP supports a diverse employee population, including field, technical, and executive professionals, across both commercial and government-regulated environments. A strong background in talent acquisition and a proactive approach to strategic HR planning are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic partner to business leaders, aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals and priorities.
- Provide counsel and support across talent management, workforce planning, employee relations, and organizational development.
- Support business units operating in technical, mechanical, and operational service sectors, as well as programs with regulatory and security-sensitive workforce needs.
- Lead efforts to strengthen employee engagement, retention, and career growth through structured development and feedback processes.
- Guide and implement performance management programs, offering coaching and best practices to front-line and senior leaders.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, internal policies, and industry-specific regulations.
- Collaborate with central HR to execute corporate programs such as succession planning, leadership development, annual reviews, benefits administration, and more.
- Use HR analytics to assess trends and offer recommendations to improve business and workforce effectiveness.
- Actively support organizational change efforts through effective communication and leadership alignment.
- Manage full cycle recruiting strategy within assigned business units, including hiring manager support, workforce planning, and goal achievement.
- Support and help oversee recruitment operations in collaboration with the centralized talent acquisition function.
