The Human Resource Business Partner provides leadership and direction in their assigned area to management and employees of Irving Oil. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues and acts as an employee champion and change agent.

Your Responsibilities: - Provide feedback on HR programs, identify impacted employees, and assess risks and opportunities
- Foster overall engagement and monitor and drive engagement actions and insights
- Support culture and talent outcomes in support of strategic objectives
- Lead HR cycles such as performance management, compensation, career development, workforce planning and succession planning
- Coach leadership to enable team effectiveness and leadership alignment sessions
- Facilitate talent pipeline conversations
- Serve as the HR lead on medium to large projects both within the business and across the functional groups
- Advise on operational talent matters, risks and opportunities to support continuous improvement
- Drive change at the local level and guide within the customer group
- Work closely with HR senior leaders to execute key activities and programs that result from insights
- Manage complex employee inquiries and resolve them in a timely manner. Lag talent issues requiring additional insights. Use data for operational insight
- Execute HR processes and compliance to performance standards
Your Skills: - Human Resources Professional with strong skills in Recruitment, Discipline Management and Employment Legislation
- Business and financial acumen

Your Experience:- Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years HR operational experience
- Previous HR Operations experience in a DOT or commercial driver setting is an asset
- Experience using Workday HCM would be considered an asset
- PHR designation an asset
