Valco Melton, a world leader in adhesive application and quality assurance systems, is seeking an entry-level HR Associate to join the HR team at our corporate office in Cincinnati.

Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Associate will perform a range of administrative tasks to support the HR function and provide front-line support to both local and remote employees. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, professional in handling confidential information, highly collaborative, and eager to learn.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day HR tasks and administration.
  • Create, administer, and organize HR documentation, from employee medical records to company policy documents. When applicable, propose process improvements for documentation.
  • Administering FMLA leave cases and in-house short-term disability policy.
  • Assist with the recruiting process, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating communication with candidates.
  • Answer frequently-asked questions from employees regarding standard policies and benefits.
  • Providing HRIS support to employee base, including assisting with resetting passwords, answering enrollment questions, and assisting with general account maintenance questions.

Required/Preferred Traits:

  • A completed Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • Highly dependable with strong organizational skills. Self-motivated to improve organization of assigned functions.
  • Strong attention to detail when working with both people and documentation.
  • Highly collaborative disposition and willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Extensive experience in Microsoft Word and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with employees and vendors effectively.
  • High standard of integrity and discretion.
  • Familiarity with basic HR practices and laws, with prior HR experience preferred.
