Summary
We are looking for a Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic team at Shabby Fabrics. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our HR functions, ensuring that our workplace remains a great place to work as we expand. This position is essential for maintaining our positive culture and supporting employee engagement.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings and screening candidates.
- Facilitate employee orientation and onboarding processes.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws.
- Support the administration of employee benefits and workers compensation programs.
- Assist in data collection for HR metrics and reporting.
- Communicate effectively with employees regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Help manage social media content related to company culture and recruitment efforts.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of employment labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Experience with HR software such as PeopleSoft or similar systems is a plus.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and employee support.
