Job Description
OIT is looking for an HR Administrator to support OIT's Human Resources unit. You will act as a point of contact for HR-related queries from employees to external City departments. Under general supervision of the Director & Assistant Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Administrator will be responsible for performing a variety of human resources duties in the following areas of recruitment, training, benefits, employee relations, safety, employment processes, HRIS, and general support. The HR Administrator will be critical in the day-to-day operations which includes supporting 570+ employees with various inquiries for the life cycle of the employee. Our ideal candidate has experience with HR procedures and can juggle various administrative tasks in a timely manner.
Essential Functions - Assist in overseeing, administering and communicating pertinent information regarding all Human Resources functions to include, but not limited to, recruitment, training, benefits, employee relations, safety, employment processes, HRIS, and support
- Onboarding and offboarding staff to ensure employees gain an understanding of department policies, procedures, and offered benefits
- Establishes, organizes, and oversees maintenance of personnel records, ensuring accuracy, completeness and confidentiality
- Continuing compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, including coordination of various trainings including, but not limited to, OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, FMLA, and EEO
- Supporting with investigations, as well as other internal staff issues/complaints, including the handling of staff discipline
- Coordinating employee communications to promote understanding of programs, policies, and objectives
- Maintaining and developing HR records, reports, and related filling systems, both physical and digital
- Assists Director of HR and Assistant of HR with various research projects and/or special projects
- Other duties as assigned

- Knowledge of City procedures is a plus including knowledge of OnePhilly and the legacy timekeeping systems

Qualifications: Qualifications
Completion of a Bachelor's Degree at an accredited college or university with major course work in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related area. Two - Four years of general human resources work with a minimum of one year supervisory/management experience.
Additional Information
Salary Not to Exceed: $80,000
