Job Purpose:

The HR Administrator plays a vital role in supporting daily HR operations and the full employee lifecycle at Atlantic Forklift Services. This position focuses on recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, compliance, training, and employee engagement. The HR Administrator will collaborate with managers and external partners to ensure efficient HR service delivery and a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and hiring process, including proactively sourcing and screening candidates through the interview, offer, pre-employment and onboarding process.
  • Process semi-monthly payroll, ensuring accurate deductions, PTO tracking, and compliance with internal policies.
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment, 401(k) administration, and respond to payroll and employment verification inquiries.
  • Respond to HR inquiries and manage communication with candidates, employees, and vendors by serving as the first point of contact for employee concerns and policy questions.
  • Manage internal processes for gathering employee feedback and engagement levels and report out to leadership team.
  • Maintain personnel records and support compliance with labor laws, OSHA standards, and company policies.
  • Work closely with leadership team to support the dealership's 'zero injury initiative' and safety culture.
  • Manage training and performance management process.
  • Prepare workforce reports, maintain HR supplies, and coordinate employee engagement and recognition activities.
  • Oversee offboarding processes, including exit interviews and coordination with necessary departments and vendor partners.
  • Provide general administrative support and work on special projects for the dealership as needed.
Education & Experience
  • College degree with a concentration in HR management or business administration, or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • 2+ years of HR administration or generalist experience.
  • Knowledge of payroll and HRIS systems; PrismHR experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with employment law, benefits, and payroll practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
