Job Description Manage the functions of the H.R. Department which include - H.R. Policies and Procedures, Employee Relations, Recruitment and Selection, Organizational Development, Health and Safety and Data Base Maintenance

- Maintain all H.R. Policies that not only comply with Federal, State and Local laws, but also our own Internal Controls which allow us to operate the business with maximum efficiency.
- Provide H.R. support to Management throughout the Gaming and Racing Divisions as directed. Explain all H.R. policies and oversee the negotiation and resolution of all sensitive and controversial issues.
- Assist the Director of H.R. in providing guidance to management on employee performance or behavioral issues that may involve disciplinary action. Conduct investigations relating to employee misconduct, policy violations, and performance issues, while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. Attend disciplinary hearings as required.
- Responsible for overseeing all aspects of employee leave requests under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) as well as facilitating requests for reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), ensuring compliance with relevant laws and company policies.
- Ensure deadline information is provided to Department Heads on H.R. procedures including probationary periods, performance appraisals, and any FMLA information. Oversee maintenance of all H.R. documentation including employee files, new hires, promotions, transfers, reviews, termination, and drug tests. Track and maintain records for any disciplinary action in relation to intox reports, as needed.
- Provide requested documentation for Team Members (e.g., Verifications of Employment), ensuring accuracy and timely delivery while adhering to company policies and recordkeeping procedures.
- Assist in the Company's recruitment, selection, orientation, and administration policies. Ensure Cost Effective, Transparent and Discrimination Free policies.
- Assist with tracking any prevailing trends and root causes and, if necessary, identify and recommend ways to reduce labor turnover.
- Manage any re-organization processes and/or reductions in labor. Continual appraisal of the Organizational Structure to ensure high quality performers, maximum efficiency (inter and intra department), clear lines of reporting and responsibility and unencumbered two-way flows of information.
- Responsible for reviewing and submitting all H.R.-related purchase requisitions, ensuring accuracy by verifying invoice details before routing them for approval and payment processing.
- Represent H.R. on all appropriate Committee's including the Diversity and Community Development Committee and the Responsible Gaming Committee.
- As directed, provide metrics to all external (e.g., PGCB) and internal (e.g., Risk Management) requests for H.R. related data and statistics.
- Ensure all Job Descriptions and Organization charts are kept up to date, effective and relevant.

Experience and Skills - Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Detailed knowledge in all areas of Human Resources (specifically Policies and Procedures, as well as Employee Relations. At least 3-5 years of experience in the field of Human Resources, as well as evidence of increased responsibility over the course of career.)
- Must be able to continuously identify and address Company expectations.
