ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Collaborates with the leadership team to understand and implement the organization's human resource and talent strategy aligning human resource initiatives with the overall business goals.
2. Administers employee benefits including claims resolution, enrollment processing, disability benefits, FMLA, COBRA, approving invoices, and communicating benefit information to employees.
3. Regularly engages staff to understand their needs and offering opportunities to gather feedback, ensuring they are aligned and supportive of the community's vision and mission.
4. Oversee the entire talent cycle, including recruitment, background checks, onboarding, staff orientation programs, retention strategies, terminations, and succession planning.
5. Supports Lathrop's safety initiatives by participating in the safety committee, managing workers' compensation claims, and reporting accidents, incidents, and injuries. Maintains the OSHA log and related reports.
6. Supports the bi-weekly payroll process by providing accurate information, inputting payroll data, and offering details on Service Awards and other payroll-related inquiries. Responsibilities include entering necessary time and attendance information into UKG Pro.
7. Manage the employee records utilizing the HRM system (UKG Pro) by ensuring that all information is accurate, up-to-date, and comprehensive. Prioritize confidentiality and data security throughout this process to protect sensitive employee information. Regularly audit records for completeness and compliance with company policies and legal regulations, while implementing best practices for data management to enhance the overall efficiency of the HR department.
8. Oversees the training and development program designed to enhance employees' skills and knowledge. Identifies specific training needs, creates tailored learning opportunities, and evaluates training effectiveness to ensure ongoing improvement and professional growth within the organization
9. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating changes, enforcing adherence, and advising management on necessary actions.

Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree in human resources or related field with a minimum of three (3) years of HR experience is required. Alternatively, a master's degree in HRM and two years of experience, seven years of HR experience, or any similar combination of education and experience will also be accepted. HR certification is preferred.
