Purpose of the Position:This position will provide classification and compensation services to support the Classification and Compensation area to include accurate and timely keying of personnel transactions into various systems such as the Human Resource Information System and Commonwealth of Virginia's Cardinal System. The position will also assist with position classification, salary analyses and salary surveys. This position will also provide support other areas of Human Resources to include Recruitment as needed.

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required :Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent education and experience that equates to a high school diploma.
Experience: - Experience working in a professional office setting.
- Experience with data entry into databases.
- Experience with word processing and spreadsheet software.
Additional Consideration(s):Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.
Experience:
- Experience using a Human Resource Information System (HRIS) or HR database.
- Experience keying into the Commonwealth of Virginia System.
- Experience working at a university or college setting.
- Experience working with position descriptions and classifying positions.
- Experience making salary recommendations.
Salary Information:Starting at $53,230 commensurate with education and experience
