Main Purpose

Monitoring offshore jobsite functions to ensure safety processes, regulations, policies, and procedures are being followed by all personnel, while identify and coach employees on any unsafe acts or hazardous conditions in their work areas.


Essential Functions

  • Conduct daily safety assessments ensure that personnel are working in a safe manner within established safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings and JSEA discussions and coach employees on their active participation and involvement in these discussions.
  • Conducts and/or participates in incident learnings as needed and prepares reports accordingly.
  • Preparation and submittal of time tickets, work orders, mobe / demobe sheets, daily safety reports, Incident first report of injury reports, JSEA and the permit to work process.
  • Perform other related job duties as directed.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment
  • Good eye/hand coordination is required.
  • Standing: This is an essential job function/physical requirement.

  • Turning, twisting, bending, and stooping: These physical requirements are essential job functions.
  • Pushing and Pulling: These physical requirements are essential job functions.
  • Reaching, forward and reaching overhead: These are essential job functions/physical requirements.
  • Climbing: Is an essential job function/physical requirement.
  • Balancing, fingering, feeling, talking hearing, and seeing: These are all considered normal physical duties/requirements and would be needed/required to work in this industrial environment safely and efficiently.
  • Lifting: employees must be able to lift up to 50lbs. pounds

Job Requirements

  • Required to have a working knowledge of the fabrication of Oil and Gas related projects and Heavy Equipment usage in same.
  • Microsoft suite.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in offshore safety in the oil and gas construction/ fabrication industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) a plus.
  • Be able to work an on-call schedule of weekends and nights if needed
  • Have own transportation to come out if needed to treat an injury.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field preferred.
  • Highschool diploma or GED.
