The Office of Human Resources is seeking candidates for a Student Office Assistant for for 3-4 shifts per week to fill office hours between 8 AM and 5 PM, and working up to 15 hours per week. Typical shifts in HR can be as follows:
  • AM Shift: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (2-3x per week)
  • PM Shift: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM (2-3x per week)
  • Combination Shifts: AM & PM mixed (2-3x per week)
The successful candidate will be open to a set schedule each week, and willing to be present in the office. The Office Assistant must have strong communication skills, strong attention to detail, and thoughtful work quality. This position may require lengthy periods of standing and/or sitting at a workstation, often filing, sorting through records, or updating spreadsheets. Reappointment for summer or next academic year is subject to work performance and evaluation.

Main Responsibilities: The Office of Human Resources is looking for assistance across its operational areas.
  • Serving as the front desk representative during select business hours, and welcoming customers as they enter the lobby.
  • Determine customer's needs, obtain relevant information, and assist with beginner-level troubleshooting
  • Answering the office phone, taking messages, and relaying information to the appropriate source.
  • Open, monitor, and update service requests in the TeamDynamix service management system and escalate requests to support staff as needed
  • Verify and scan I-9 documents.
  • Attend events as a student representative for the Office of Human Resources.
  • Distribute campus-wide flyers and/or postings for select events.
  • Various administrative duties such as filing, copying, phone and mail distribution.

  • Strong understanding of Google applications, MS Office, Zoom, TCNJ apps, and more.
  • Available during 2 or more open shift times.
