Overview of the HR Documentation and Benefits Specialist Role:

• Review and Update HR Handbooks: Ensure all HR policies, including PTO, benefits, contracts, dress code, and other workplace policies, are accurate, consistent, and up to date.

• Develop an Organized System: Create a comprehensive and accessible HR documentation system (e.g., binders or digital files) to maintain continuity, ensuring the system remains a "living document" that can function regardless of personnel changes.

• Solidify Benefits Packages: Work to enhance and communicate a robust benefits package that compensates for limited salary competition, emphasizing the value of non-monetary benefits.

• Employee Communication: Serve as the point of contact for HR-related questions, clearly communicating policies and benefits to teachers and staff.

• Ensure Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR regulations to ensure policies comply with state and federal laws.

Preferred Qualifications for the HR Documentation and Benefits Specialist Role:

• Experience in HR policy development and benefits administration.

• Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to create and maintain systematic documentation.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels.

• Understanding of not-for-profit or educational institution HR challenges is a plus.

• Knowledge of employment law and compliance regulations.

Salary: $79,500 to $85,000 depending on experience
