Human Resources & Payroll Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Human Resources & Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate must be currently engaged with ADP Workforce Now and possess strong capabilities in report generation, payroll controls, and compliance. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing, adherence to auditing principles, and supporting HR functions related to compensation and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Administration:
- Process and balance multi-cycle payrolls accurately and timely using ADP Workforce Now.
- Ensure all payroll transactions are processed efficiently, including wage changes, new hires, terminations, and garnishments.
- Write up and maintain effective internal payroll controls and reconciliation procedures.
- Generate and distribute funding notifications to the accounting department in a timely manner.
- ADP Workforce Now Expertise:
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now to create, maintain, and distribute custom payroll and HR reports.
- Serve as a point of contact for ADP Workforce Now inquiries and system optimization.
- Auditing and Compliance:
- Participate in internal and external payroll and 401(k) audits.
- Ensure all payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies.
- Maintain organized records and audit trails to support reporting and compliance.
- Benefits & 401(k) Administration:
- Support the administration and compliance of the company's 401(k) plan, including required reporting and employee communications.
- Collaborate with third-party administrators and accounting for funding and reconciliation.
- Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with HR, accounting, and finance teams to align payroll with organizational goals and ensure financial accuracy.
- Respond to employee payroll and benefits inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Current hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now is required.
- Strong knowledge of payroll practices, tax regulations, and employment law.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing payroll reports and reconciliations.
- Ability to create and document payroll controls and audit procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
