About the Role
As HR Officer within a busy Human Resources department, you will report directly to the HR Manager while providing comprehensive HR support throughout the organisation. This growth-driven position encompasses the full spectrum of HR responsibilities with particular emphasis on employee relations, absence management, policy implementation, and compliance. You will also contribute to recruitment initiatives, wellbeing programmes, and engagement activities alongside the wider HR team.
HR Officer Responsibilities
- Deliver professional guidance on employee relations matters across the organisation
- Manage absence processes with sensitivity and appropriate documentation
- Review, develop and implement HR policies and procedures
- Ensure organisational compliance with employment legislation
- Support recruitment activities from advertisement through to onboarding
- Contribute to wellbeing and employee engagement initiatives
- Provide comprehensive administrative support for HR operations
HR Officer Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' recent experience in an HR Officer/Advisor or equivalent role
- Full or part CIPD qualification preferred
- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Proficiency with IT systems including HRIS platforms
- Experience within professional services, preferably a legal environment
