Description HR Generalist - Plateau GRP Location: Hybrid (3 days/week in Fairfax, VA) Plateau GRP is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive HR Generalist to join our growing Human Resources team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for supporting a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and performance management. Key Responsibilities: Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Oversee and enhance the onboarding and orientation process to ensure a welcoming and compliant new hire experience.
Maintain and update employee records in Plateau's HRIS (Paylocity), ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and data integrity.
Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, performance management, and conflict resolution.
Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs that support a positive workplace culture.
Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations, including required reporting and documentation.
Partner with leadership on HR initiatives such as employee engagement, training and development, and organizational planning.
Lead or contribute to various HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a federal contracting environment.
Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance requirements.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience using HRIS platforms (Paylocity preferred).
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive employee matters.
Ability to obtain or maintain a government security clearance, if required.Desired Skills: Experience using Paylocity for HR operations.
SHRM-CP, PHR, or other HR certification is a strong plus.
