About the Opportunity We are seeking a motivated and reliable
HR Generalist for a
temp-to-hire opportunity with a growing company in the Baltimore, MD area. This is an excellent role for someone currently unemployed or looking to re-enter the workforce, with a clear path toward permanent employment based on performance and fit.
You'll be joining a collaborative team where your HR expertise and ability to manage multiple responsibilities will be valued and recognized.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary point of contact for employee HR-related inquiries, providing timely and accurate information while ensuring a positive employee experience.
- Support end-to-end recruitment efforts, including drafting and posting job descriptions, conducting initial candidate screenings, coordinating interviews, and facilitating smooth onboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records through HRIS data entry, ensuring integrity and confidentiality of information; coordinate employee benefits enrollment and administration.
- Assist in fostering a positive workplace culture by supporting employee relations efforts, participating in performance management processes, and contributing to the development and communication of HR policies.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations through accurate documentation, recordkeeping, and procedural support.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance HR processes, and contribute to special projects and initiatives that align with organizational goals.
Qualifications- 4+ years of HR generalist experience preferred
- Solid understanding of core HR functions (recruitment, onboarding, compliance, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS systems is a plus
- Ability to start quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
