We are looking for a motivated and creative leader to help shape and support our mission. As a HR Generalist I you will primarily focus on benefits administration, along with a variety of other human resource responsibilities. Responsibilities are within the Human Resources Function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines. Responsibilities Supports the organization by implementing and administering human resources programs or policies. Implements human resources programs by providing human resources services, which may include recruiting and staffing, administration of compensation and benefits programs, training and development, employee or labor relations, and affirmative action/equal employment opportunity compliance. Completes personnel transactions and maintains associated records. Collects and analyzes internal and external information in order to compare the organizations HR practices to those prevailing in the market. Ensures compliance with applicable labor laws or regulations. For St. Petersburg, may also have responsibility including:
• Benefits Supports the administration of benefits programs such as life, health & wellness, and disability insurance Assists with wellness programs to support employees physical, emotional, social and/or financial wellbeing May identify and incorporate diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in benefits programs. Impact of the Role Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment Requires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within a job discipline Performs routine assignments using existing procedures Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles Entry level to a professional career progression Qualifications Education and/or Experience Associate's Degree required Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education and Experience Preferred Discipline/Major: Human Resources or Business Management 0-3 years prior experience relevant to the positions functional area Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Oral and written communication skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships. Decision-making skills. Interpersonal skills. Judgement. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Demonstrates independent initiative to complete tasks Physical Demands Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Travel Requirements Less than 25% travel likely.
