A mission-driven nonprofit in Denver is looking for an experienced and compassionate HR Director to lead their human resources function. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR Director who thrives in a collaborative environment, values people-first leadership, and wants to make a meaningful impact.
The HR Director will work onsite four days per week with the flexibility to work remotely one day each week. You'll be the strategic and operational leader of a four-person team, including two HR professionals and two training staff.
Key Responsibilities: -
Employee Relations (60%) - The HR Director will lead coaching, conflict resolution, internal investigations, and foster a positive work environment.

Team Leadership (20%) - The HR Director will supervise the HR Manager, HR Administrator, and oversee training staff, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Compliance & Administration (20%) - The HR Director will manage state licensing interactions, FBI/CBI background check processes, and maintain compliance systems.

The HR Director will also generate simple reports and retention metrics using ADP and Excel (basic formulas/charts).
Requirements: -
Bachelor's degree in Management (HR preferred)

PHR or SHRM certification

Must pass FBI and CBI background checks with a completely clear record
