Do you want to make sustainable change in our community? Harbor Care is seeking a talented and committed Housing Specialist for our Veteran Services Transitional Housing Program to help further our mission.
The Job: Veteran Services Transitional Housing constitutes three facilities; two in central Nashua and one in Manchester. The Housing Specialist should be methodical, organized, and compassionate to our Veterans in our housing units.
About Harbor Care: Harbor Care, formerly known as Harbor Homes and the Partnership for Successful Living affiliates, is an innovative health and human services non-profit organization that provides housing, healthcare, behavioral health, addiction treatment, and more in collaboration with many community partners. Harbor Care is the new shared name of Harbor Homes, the Harbor Care Health and Wellness Center, and the Southern NH HIV/AIDS Task Force. RequirementsDuties, Responsibilities and Job Requirements - Ability to perform rent calculations for HUD standards
- Adherence to deadlines for time sensitive paperwork to external business partners and funders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with diverse populations.
- Ability to work autonomously, and independently
- Experience with HUD policies, or desire to learn
- Ability to assist in unscheduled and scheduled Grant audits.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, word, excel, etc. Ability to create and run reports.
Education At least an Associates' degree in Human Services or related degree 1-year work experience
