We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Case Manager to join our team. The Housing Case Manager will be responsible for providing direct support to clients, developing individualized service plans, and coordinating resources to help clients achieve their housing goals. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals experiencing homelessness, and a commitment to advocacy and social justice.
Job overview:
- Hiring method: Contract to Hire / Temp to Perm (6 months until permanent hire)
- Location: 100% onsite in Montebello, CA - street parking available
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
Key Responsibilities: - Working with referral clients in a 15-bed interim housing facility
- Working with homeless demographics and re-entry populations
- Assisting clients in securing permanent housing, including site visits
- Working with landlords and property management firms
- Connecting with clients, providing empathetic support to homeless community members
Qualifications: - Educational requirement: high school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in case management or a related field
- Experience working with homeless population
- Strong understanding of issues related to homelessness, poverty, and trauma
- HMIS experience required for documentation of case notes
- Soft skills: must me empathetic, tough-skinned, and understanding
Pay Details: $21.00 to $22.00 per hour
