Departmental Objective:Facilities Management is responsible for maintaining campus buildings utilizing the carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC trades as well as housekeeping and floor maintenance.
Purpose of the Position:This position will ensure the cleanliness of assigned areas by performing various housekeeping tasks.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Related to Position:Knowledge of cleaning methods and cleaning supplies
Skilled in the use of housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaner, buffers, and scrubbing machine
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs., tolerate frequent bending, stooping, and climbing stairs
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to communicate effectively and to maintain positive relations with faculty, staff and students
Ability to work from 5 am - 2 pm, Monday - Friday
Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required :Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent education/experience that equates to a high school diploma.
Experience:
- Experience in cleaning methods and cleaning supplies.
- Experience using a vacuum cleaner, buffer, and scrubbing machine.
Additional Consideration(s):Experience: Previous experience working at a university.
Salary Information:Starting at $30,160, Commensurate with education and experience
