Foxdale Village includes 57 apartments and 148 cottages and offers a range of health services with 46 beds in skilled nursing for short and long-term care, two memory care neighborhoods, and 55 beds in personal care, all with private accommodations. We currently have an opportunity for a new Residential Housekeeper to join our team.

We are hiring for a Full-Time position and expected work 40 hours per week, Mondays through Fridays from 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Housekeeper Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting Housekeeping Manager in providing work quality oversight and supervision to housekeeping staff, primarily in the Independent Living.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. In cooperation with Housekeeping Manager, assist in managing day-to-day activities of housekeeping staff. Assist in allocating workloads and scheduling processes for IL housekeeping staff. Coordinate and consult with Healthcare Team Leader on scheduling needs. Use Worxhub work order request system on a daily basis.
  2. Inspect work of IL housekeepers and perform periodic quality audits. Instruct, coach and develop IL housekeeping staff.
  3. Provide input related to ongoing performance of employees. Assist with performance evaluations and counseling of staff. Assist housekeeping manager with higher level disciplinary actions, as necessary. Maintain confidentiality of personnel issues.
  4. Participate in daily standup communication meetings with housekeeping staff to review current issues, make announcements, etc.
  5. Report supply levels to ensure adequate inventory.
  6. Assist in orienting and training new staff adequately. Demonstrate effective use of cleaning materials and equipment and safety precautions.
  7. Oversee the IL housekeeping deep cleaning schedule.
  8. Provide routine housekeeping services as scheduled by the Housekeeping Manager, no less than 40 hours per pay period including during weekends.
  9. Perform routine housekeeping tasks for the apartments to maintain an orderly, clean and attractive condition that meets quality standards established by the Housekeeping Manager.
  10. Perform cleaning tasks related to special needs or requests, such as spot cleaning, deep cleaning and resident requests. Clean IL units that are under construction and report maintenance issues via the Worxhub system.
  11. Perform well checks as needed.
  12. Assist in safety inspections of carts, policy updates and minor maintenance tasks.
  13. Perform transportation duties when needed.
  14. Maintain accurate log of deep cleaning duties and completion of tasks.
  15. Provide support for resident moves, as requested by Housekeeping Manager.
  16. Maintain regular and predictable attendance in order to meet the daily housekeeping needs for residents.


Requirements

Education: High school diploma or its equivalent is strongly preferred.

Experience: Minimum of six months to one-year of related experience is preferred.

Language: Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

Math: Must be able to complete tasks using basic mathematical skills.

Licenses/Certifications: Must possess a valid PA Driver's License.

Physical Requirements of the Position:

Specific physical characteristics and abilities are required to perform the work, such as agility, dexterity and long periods of walking, standing, bending, carrying or lifting supplies and equipment (with assistance when needed). This position requires the completion of mostly non-sedentary work.
