St. Mary Magdalen Parish is currently accepting resumes for a part-time Housekeeping position. This hourly role offers flexible working hours and is essential to maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities. The ideal candidate will also collaborate with parish groups to ensure successful events and activities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: - Perform routine cleaning tasks, including restrooms, classrooms, interior and exterior windows, floors, and carpets.
- Restock and resupply restrooms and janitorial closets.
- Document and report maintenance needs and repairs.
- Monitor inventory, order, and restock cleaning and janitorial supplies.
- Collaborate with various parish groups (e.g., Knights of Columbus, blood drives, fundraisers, diocesan events) to coordinate event preparation and support.
- Assist with event setup and cleanup, including reconfiguring spaces, moving tables and chairs, emptying trash, and ensuring cleanliness after events.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: At least two years of experience in custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping roles preferred.
- Requirements:
- Valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of and experience with cleaning products and their proper use.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
- Physical capability to perform tasks such as moving furniture, lifting, and event setup.
