Job Title: Hotel Night Auditor/Evening Front Desk Agent
Location: Comfort Inn & Suites, Hermiston, OR
Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Job Summary:
The Comfort Inn & Suites in Hermiston is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Night Auditor/Evening Front Desk Agent to join our team. As the first point of contact for guests during the evening and night shifts, the Night Auditor plays a key role in providing exceptional customer service while maintaining the integrity of hotel operations during off-hours. This role involves balancing guest needs with administrative duties to ensure smooth operations overnight.

General Schedule:
  • Night Auditor - Friday & Saturday 11PM-7AM
  • Evening Front Desk - Monday & Tuesday 3PM-11PM / 1PM-9PM
  • Other Shifts/Days as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Guest Services:
    • Greet and check-in guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.
    • Provide guests with accurate information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
    • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and efficiently.
    • Ensure the safety and security of hotel guests and property during the evening and night hours.
  2. Night Audit:
    • Perform nightly audit functions to ensure accurate revenue reporting and hotel financial records.
    • Reconcile guest accounts, verify and balance daily transactions.
    • Prepare daily reports for management, including financial summaries and discrepancies.
    • Process all guest charges and payments, including room rates, taxes, and any incidental charges.
  3. Administrative Duties:
    • Complete end-of-day procedures including billing, room revenue, and balance sheets.
    • Maintain and update hotel records, including guest reservations, cancellations, and special requests.
    • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  4. General Front Desk Operations:
    • Answer phone calls and emails promptly, offering assistance and resolving any inquiries.
    • Handle check-outs and provide guest receipts.
    • Assist with room assignments, reservations, and tracking inventory.
    • Perform light housekeeping duties (i.e., restocking guest supplies) as needed.
  5. Security & Safety:
    • Monitor hotel property via security cameras and patrol the premises to ensure safety and security.
    • Respond quickly to emergency situations, ensuring the safety of all guests and staff.
    • Ensure proper handling of keys, maintaining guest confidentiality and privacy.

Qualifications:
  • Previous hotel front desk experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accounting and administrative tasks.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable handling cash and processing financial transactions.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work overnight, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of hotel reservation systems and basic computer skills preferred.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful or emergency situations.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of supplies (up to 25 lbs).
  • Ability to navigate stairs and walk the premises for security purposes.
