We are currently accepting applications for a full-time maintenance position. Ideal candidates will have prior general maintenance experience, are a self-starter, the ability to work independently, and multi-task. A high degree of professionalism and effective decision-making skills are preferred with this role. This role is primarily schedule between the hours of 7am and 10:30pm, set or rotating schedules may be an option for the right candidate with an understanding to be flexible with the occupancy and business demands of the hotel.
Some responsibilities may include but are not limited to: - General Repairs and Maintenance: performing minor repairs within guest rooms such as lamps, light bulbs, sink and tub drains, drywall patch work, and HVAC units.
- Preventive Maintenance: conducting regular inspections of rooms, appliances, mechanical systems, waterpark equipment to prevent breakdown and long lead times on repairs.
- Responding to Guest Requests: Addressing guest maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner such as troubleshooting a remote for their TV, thermostat in their guest room, slow sink drain, or replacement of a light bulb as well as room lock not operating correctly.
- Property Appearance: Maintaining the hotel grounds, including landscaping, pool care, snow removal, etc.
- Emergency Response: Being available and professional when responding to urgent items such as fire alarms or emergency services arriving on property.
- Collaboration and Communication: Coordinating with the rooms department and F&B team to ensure guest satisfaction to maintain a smooth guest experience and hotel operations.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensuring that the hotel complies with all local, state, and federal regulations related to safety, health, and fire codes. This may include checking fire alarms, emergency lights, and safety equipment.
