GHIG targets single asset, portfolio, and corporate opportunities with a target investment size of $50-$300m per deal.
Since inception in 2019, GHIG has grown to over $350m AuM globally, with a track record of investing alongside some of the world's leading institutions including private equity firms, hedge funds, and family offices. GHIG's current US portfolio comprises three hotels and resorts which we are looking to substantially grow over the coming years.
About the role:
GHIG is seeking a highly organized and efficient Development and Construction Project Coordinator for a $30m+ resort renovation with a minimum 2 years of experience in the construction, architecture, or project management fields. This can include experience at General Contractors, Real Estate Developers, Construction Companies or Architecture firms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project lifecycles, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of success in coordinating and assisting with the management of construction projects. This is an immediate start position.
Location:
This role will be based in Scottsdale, AZ. Reasonable moving costs will be reimbursed by the Company. For a highly qualified candidate, GHIG would be willing to support with reasonable travel expenses should the candidate live elsewhere, in which case willingness to spend most weekdays in Scottsdale would be required.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the GHIG CEO and construction management team in the planning, coordination, and execution of renovation and construction projects.
- Assist with the maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans. Track project progress, identify potential roadblocks and escalate to team lead.
- Assist with the facilitation of communication and collaboration between project stakeholders, including internal teams, architects, designers, contractors, and vendors.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution project status reports, meeting minutes, and other project documentation and follow up with all relevant parties on a consistent basis in order to make sure that all relevant task deadlines are met.
- Maintain organized project files and records.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, contracts, and other project-related documents.
- Whilst initially focused on development projects within our existing hotel and resort portfolio, Candidate will be encouraged to grow into a broader role within GHIG that may include elements of asset management and acquisition responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Project Management, Real Estate Development, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the construction, architecture, or project management industries.
- Proven ability to assist with the management of complex commercial construction and development projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
Additional Skills:
- Proficiency in and Microsoft Project and ProCore as well as Revit or any rendering software a plus but not required.
- Experience in the hospitality industry vs. just commercial real estate is preferred but not required.
- Detailed experience with project management methodologies in commercial construction.
Compensation:
- $100,000-120,000 annual base salary with potential for discretionary bonus. GHIG will consider a higher base salary and/or total compensation package for a more experienced candidate.
