Job Summary: The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Key Responsibilities: - Guest Experience: Greet guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and provide menus.
- Seating Management: Monitor table availability and manage the waitlist to optimize seating efficiency.
- Reservation Coordination: Take reservations over the phone or through online systems and manage booking schedules.
- Communication: Coordinate with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
- Problem-Solving: Address guest concerns or special requests promptly and professionally.
- Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain a tidy host stand, entrance area, and menus.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to restaurant policies, including health and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Skills: - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Positive attitude and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Prior experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of reservation systems is beneficial.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift light objects.
