About the Role What You Will Do
  1. Assist the Restaurant & Commercial Events Manager in the efficient operation of the catering service, adhering to service standards and financial regulations.
  2. Coordinate the team to meet customer needs in line with business standards, enhancing their experience where appropriate.
  3. Assist in training and supervising catering staff and student casuals.
  4. Monitor team adherence to processes and procedures according to standards.
  5. Maintain a helpful attitude to customers, acquire knowledge of food items, and keep service areas clean and stocked.
  6. Support the operation of bars and catering services for events and functions.
  7. Use EPOS tills, including cash handling.
  8. Ensure food safety compliance and accurate record-keeping of due diligence.
About You
  1. Up-to-date knowledge of catering and hospitality.
  2. Experience working in fast-paced environments; supervisory experience in bar/catering preferred.
  3. Ability to organize and oversee team work.
  4. Knowledge of food hygiene systems and record monitoring.
  5. Experience using tills and handling cash/credit transactions.
  6. Initiative to upsell products and create opportunities.
  7. Effective communication skills with team members and customers.
