The Jefferson Hotel, a landmark of luxury and hospitality in Richmond, seeks an experienced and motivated Recruiter to join our Human Resources team. The Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent across all hotel departments, ensuring an exceptional guest experience through a world-class team. Key Responsibilities
  • Source, identify, and attract qualified candidates for a variety of hotel roles, from entry-level to management, using job boards, social media, networking, and industry events
  • Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit with The Jefferson's values and service standards
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience
  • Collaborate with department managers to understand staffing needs, job requirements, and team dynamics
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, from requisition to onboarding, maintaining accurate records in the applicant tracking system
  • Develop and implement strategic recruiting campaigns to attract top-tier hospitality professionals
  • Perform reference and background checks, and negotiate job offers in alignment with hotel policies
  • Participate in job fairs, networking events, and industry conferences to promote The Jefferson Hotel and build a pipeline of potential candidates
  • Provide regular recruitment status updates and analytics to Human Resources leadership
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the recruitment process
  • Support and guide hiring managers and team members on recruitment best practices
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of recruitment experience, preferably within the hospitality industry
  • Strong understanding of hospitality roles and industry standards
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, HR databases, and recruitment software
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • High level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations relevant to hospitality
  • Strong negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to attend job fairs, networking events, and travel as needed
