Vette City Catering and Bowling Green Ballpark seeks an energetic, highly motivated sales professional to lead and elevate our non-baseball special events while delivering top-tier hospitality to our premium-level ticket holders. This role is ideal for a driven, self-starting salesperson with a passion for growing business opportunities within and beyond the baseball season.

Job Duties:
  • Act as primary on-site contact for all non-baseball events.
  • Develop special event leads while also presenting and selling special event packages to local businesses.
  • Work with all events from beginning to end, including walk-throughs, pre-event planning, food and beverage planning, staffing, and event execution.
  • Oversee the execution of catering and service for premium suite and picnic areas during all Hot Rods home games.
  • Scheduling of wait and bar staff in the Performance Foodservice Club.
  • Ability to work towards both individual and team-based sales goals.
  • Maintain accurate reporting regarding sales, forecasting, activity, and account maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Team in developing strategies, plans, and initiatives relative to new and renewal business development.
  • Help build Bowling Green Ballpark's image as a Downtown BGKY hub in the community.
  • Represent Vette City Catering and Bowling Green Hot Rods at various promotional and networking events.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
  • Expansive knowledge of sales in the hospitality industry
  • Proven track record in sales, hospitality, or event coordination
  • A minimum of two (2) years work experience in sales and customer service
  • A minimum of one (1) year work experience in catering or event planning
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality or Sales/Marketing/Sports Management related field
Physical Demands & Working Environment:
  • Required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and early mornings.
  • Sitting, standing, walking, reaching with arms and hands, climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, or crouching are all part of this position.
  • Must be able to handle weather-related elements such as rain and heat.
