Ponzi Vineyards is looking for an energetic team player to work as our Hospitality and Kitchen Support at our Sherwood Tasting Room.

This position requires a Hospitality professional with the ability to maintain our high standards of quality and guest satisfaction. The Ponzi Vineyards Hospitality and Kitchen Support is a hybrid variation, with assisting the Front of House, including bussing, resetting tables, polishing glassware and stocking wine and also responsible for assisting with Back of the House functions, including food preparation and maintenance of quality standards, plate presentation and maintaining a clean and well-organized kitchen. This position will report to the Hospitality Director.

Duties:
  • Front of House duties:
    • Bus tables and reset with proper glassware
    • Wash and polish glasses
    • Assist tasting room with stocking wines
    • Fulfill wine orders as needed for guests and offer assistance to their car
    • Make sure wine fridges are stocked with chilled wines and water bottles
    • Complete closing task list for Tasting Room
  • Back of House duties:
    • Stock, prepare and maintain sufficient levels of food products according to winery needs and prep lists.
    • Assist Culinary Director with event food preparation and execution.
    • Assist BOH and FOH with monthly inventory.
    • Prepare and cook food items for the tasting room menu and run food as needed
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and sanitation.
    • Assist in menu development and contribute to the creation of seasonal specials.
    • Collaborate with the front-of-house staff to deliver a seamless dining experience for guests.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year with a hospitality experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of culinary/kitchen experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls and presentation (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while consistently maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
