We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Hospitalist Physician for a 7-day locum tenens assignment at a Hospital in North Dakota, starting July 1, 2025, at 8 AM and ending July 9, 2025, at 8 AM. This role involves providing comprehensive pediatric care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including clinic hours from 8 AM to 4 PM, plus night and weekend call coverage. The physician will handle a variety of pediatric cases, from common illnesses to immunizations, and will also attend low-risk births (approximately 5 per month), admit newborns, and manage discharges. Responsibilities include using the Epic system for patient management. This opportunity offers a chance to work in a diverse pediatric setting with potential for extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide inpatient and outpatient pediatric care
- Manage common pediatric conditions such as runny nose, flu, and colds
- Administer immunizations and conduct well-child visits
- Attend low-risk births and take handoffs from OB (approximately 5 births per month)
- Admit newborns and manage their care
- Handle pediatric discharges
- Utilize Epic system for patient management and record-keeping
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Provide on-call coverage for nights and weekends
- Offer patient and family education on pediatric health and wellness
- Stay updated on the latest pediatric care practices and treatment modalities
Additional Information:
- Active North Dakota medical license required
- Board certification in Pediatrics
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
- Strong clinical skills in both inpatient and outpatient pediatric care
