Job Opportunity: OB/GYN Hospitalist
Join a thriving OB/GYN practice at a premier healthcare facility in beautiful Palm Springs, California. The facility is a 387-bed tertiary acute care center and the only Level I Trauma Center in the Coachella Valley, serving over 8,000 square miles of Southeastern California.
Job Responsibilities:
- A full-time position with approximately 7.5 24-hour in-house shifts/month (2190 hours annually).
- Possibility to work a minimum of 5.5 24-hour shifts/month (1560 hours annually; still benefit eligible).
- Collaborate with 2 OB Hospitalists who are in-house 24/7.
- Attend deliveries, provide OB triage, and manage patient evaluations.
- Assist in surgical procedures and monitor fetal health.
- Coverage of ER cases, with additional support from MFM for high-risk patients.
- Contribute to an average of 60 deliveries monthly.
- Utilize a 30-bed Level-III NICU for newborns starting from 23 weeks.
- Engage in teaching opportunities with fellows, residents, and medical students.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN.
- California medical license or willingness to obtain.
- Experience in OB Hospitalist work is preferred.
- Required to indicate interest in full-time or part-time employment.
- Residency in the local area or willingness to relocate is required.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Eligible within 5 years of residency or Board Certified in OB/GYN.
- Active California license or eligibility to obtain one.
