Assistant Medical Director of Hospital Medicine Opening in Hartford, CTFull-time, permanent position Seeking BC/BEPosition Details:Responsible for participating in Administrator on Call rotation being the point person from a clinical and administrative standpoint for providers and hospital administration.Reviewing cases from clinical care management and quality standpoint, reviewing pertinent riskonnects and promoting safe, quality care deliverySupporting provider staff with challenging patient casesWorking with patient advocate to facilitate patient concern issues, assisting with grievancesMeeting with provider staff as needed to provide performance feedbackParticipate in divisional HR related issuesAttending divisional meetings related to operations, scheduling, staffingParticipate in running morning huddlesAttending unit progression rounds and supporting unit lead modelParticipate in recruiting, interviewing and onboarding of new staffDivisional focus based on individual and divisional needMentorship of new hires and support of growth/leadership opportunities within divisionParticipate in meetings external to the division including but not limited to: Departmental meetings such as medicine cabinet, hospitalist council, workgroup directly affecting hospitalist workflowGuides staff in the adherence to applicable standards of care/practice and/or departmental/organizational expectationsUpholds leadership behaviors and expectations at all timesEstablishes, evaluates, and monitors care processes, policies, and procedures to ensure that appropriate Hospital resource utilization is achievedPatient Care:Clinical responsibilities both directly and indirectly through precepting with advance practice providers and seeing patient clinically at bedside.We provide a competitive benefits program designed to ensure work/life balanceAbout the Facility: Facility's network employs over 2,500 providers in over 400 practice locations throughout Connecticut, seven acute care hospitals including one of the largest academic and surgical hospitals in the northeast, thriving community teaching hospitals, and one of the largest, physician-led, multi-specialty medical groups in New England.
