JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Must be licensed or eligible in Alabama
• Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
• Experience: Internal Medicine residency trained
• Other Qualifications: Comfortable managing diverse patient populations; throughput efficiency focus
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide inpatient care for ED admissions, consults, and transfers
• Co-manage critical care patients with intensivists (no procedures required)
• Manage patients in clinical decision unit
• Collaborate with subspecialists and hospital support services
• Participate in throughput initiatives to reduce patient length of stay
