Seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Hospitalist Physician Assistant to join talented team northeast of Durham, NC.


Position Summary:

  • 12-hour shifts, 12-hour days, 7 on/7 off
  • This role is responsible for examining and treating patients independently within their scope of practice and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide direct in-patient care to adult patients.
  • Responsible for providing episodic and chronic care, as well as screening and educational assistance to patients.
  • Conduct inpatient and outpatient consultations in internal medicine.
  • Provide quality care to patients by following the most current evidence-based guidelines and procedures of practice.
  • Adhere to all institutional policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
  • Take part in quality assurance audits, including continuing education, and peer review.
  • Participate in continuing education and training to keep abreast of current developments in the industry.
  • Recognize the diversity of the patient population and treat all warmly and kindly.
  • Familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
  • Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding.
  • Sufficient clinical knowledge and experience to provide clinical competence and meet institutional standards of care.
  • Interpersonal skills to deal harmoniously with staff, patients, and family members.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the responsibilities of the position.
