Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner

TinkBird Healthcare is seeking a BE/BC NP or PA for a hospital located in Nags Head, North Carolina to provide locums coverage for their Hospitalist program mainly to focus on admissions, consults and co-management of ED holds and admitted patients. NP/PA must have an active NC License and DEA. New NP/PA will need to come in the day before their first scheduled shift for orientation.

Dates Coverage Is Needed: (1 person that can cover the entire 2 weeks)
July 7-11, each shift if 2p-10p
July 14-18, each shift is 2p-10p

Established hospitalist service inclusive of 2 physicians and 4 Advanced Practice Providers
Privileges at The Outer Banks Health Hospital
Average total inpatient census: 17-21
Average number of patients per day per APP: 8-10
Average number of admissions per day: 4-6 during the day and 5-7 at night
No critical care responsibilities
Locums will respond to codes but not in the ED
Locums will not serve as back up in the Emergency Department but will consult on holds in the ED.
BLS and ACLS are required
Comprehensive medical staff including General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Cardiology, Orthopedics, ENT, Primary Care and Oncology
