Requirements:
PhD, MD, or professional degree in medicine from an accredited medical school.
Current MD or DO Texas License.
Certification in BCLS and ACLS; current state and federal narcotics licenses.
1-3 years of physician or hospitalist experience preferred.
Experience with hospital medicine preferred.

Job Description:
The Inpatient Services Hospitalist provides medical care and oversight to hospitalized patients. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: diagnosing, treating, and consulting on adult inpatients, observation patients, and swingbed patients; reviewing orders and interpreting test results; educating patients and/or families about their medical issues; assisting with care and discharge planning throughout the patient's hospital stay; maintaining legible, timely, accurate, and confidential medical records; documenting all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatment outcomes, education, referrals, and consultations; providing ongoing oversight of patient bed placement criteria; and utilizing the hospital Electronic Health Record (EHR) to ensure timely, accurate, and complete patient medical records.
