What You'll Do As Hospital Administrator, you'll be the operational and cultural heartbeat of our hospital-leading people, processes, and performance. In partnership with the Regional Operations and Medical Directors, your core focus areas will include:
- Team Leadership : Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing team. Oversee scheduling, training, HR matters, and promote a collaborative, positive culture.
- Client & Patient Experience : Ensure exceptional service through smooth client flow, prompt issue resolution, and a consistently high standard of care delivery.
- Hospital Operations : Oversee day-to-day functions including budgeting, financial reporting, payroll, purchasing, and adherence to VCA policies and safety protocols.
- Facility Oversight : Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning facility. Coordinate equipment maintenance, housekeeping, and security protocols.
- Marketing & Growth : Support local marketing and referral strategies, assist with event planning, and help track ROI for marketing initiatives.
- Strategic Collaboration : Partner closely with hospital leadership to set goals, solve problems, and elevate both the business and team experience.
What We're Looking For - 3-5+ years of leadership experience in a veterinary, specialty, or emergency hospital setting (multi-department preferred)
- Proven ability to manage hospital operations including scheduling, payroll, inventory, and vendor relationships
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing large, diverse teams, including performance management and conflict resolution
- Strong understanding of hospital financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
- Experience supporting client service excellence and ensuring consistent, high-quality patient care delivery
- Skilled at partnering with veterinarians and medical leadership to drive hospital performance and team engagement
- Ability to flex across a 24/7/365 environment, including weekend, holiday, or after-hours leadership coverage as needed
