We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Hospice/Palliative Care Physician to join our growing team. This is an inpatient role within a dedicated palliative care unit. The position offers a consistent daytime schedule, with no call responsibilities, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. You will function in both attending and consulting roles, providing expert care to patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive hospice and palliative care to patients in an inpatient setting.
- Act as the attending physician for patients on the palliative care unit.
- Provide palliative care consultations to other inpatient services.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to address patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), a nurse navigator, and a counselor.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
Requirements:
- Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine or board certification in a primary specialty with significant experience in hospice/palliative care.
