We are seeking a skilled Physician specializing in Hospice/Palliative Medicine for a locum tenens position at a Hospital in Ohio. This 70-day assignment offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with 1:3 call rotation, starting on date 07/07/2025. The ideal candidate will be comfortable providing comprehensive hospice and palliative care services. Job Responsibilities and Duties:


• Provide comprehensive hospice and palliative care services


• Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans


• Manage pain and other symptoms associated with terminal illnesses


• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care


• Communicate effectively with patients and families about end-of-life care options


• Prescribe and manage medications for symptom control


• Provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and families


• Coordinate care transitions between hospital and hospice settings


• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Epic EHR system


• Participate in on-call duties as scheduled (1:3 rotation)


• Stay current with advancements in hospice and palliative medicine practices


• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures related to end-of-life care


Additional Information:


• Ohio state medical license required


• Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine preferred


• Experience with Epic EHR system is beneficial


• Strong communication and empathy skills essential


• Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams
