We have new opportunities for a full-time Kitchen Exhaust "hood" Cleaner Technicians for overnights.

This person will provide regularly scheduled hood cleaning service programs for restaurant, grocery and other industries that require commercial cooking. This service is essential for fire protection for our customers' property, people and the community. The Kitchen Exhaust Cleaner Technician position is vital in delivering the Company' s high-quality and on-time customer service. Vehicle, equipment, and training are required to perform hood cleaning services that is provided by the Company. This work is physically demanding and labor intensive.

Work is primarily performed during the night or early morning but may require some day or weekend work on occasion. Our company is a leader within the industry and provides preventative maintenance and on-call repair programs for all rolling equipment within the retail, wholesale, and grocery industries.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with all on-site installations, repairs, maintenance, and tests tasks.
  • Be the primary customer interface while on-site, exhibiting courtesy, professionalism and ensuring customer issues are addressed.
  • Diagnose technical problems and determine proper solutions.
  • Utilize mobile technology applications to complete service tickets, monitor timekeeping, submit reports, and manage expenses.
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports.
  • Maintain an organized warehouse, take physical inventory, and keep accurate inventory counts.
  • Keep vehicle, tools, equipment organized and properly maintained (Company provides all equipment).
  • Secondary job duties include working as part of a crew of two to three, thorough and complete kitchen, and exhaust cleaning services.
  • Set -up and tear-down of all equipment and supplies at the job site.
  • Know ledge of hood cleaning/kitchen exhaust cleaning a plus but not required. Company will provide training).
  • Report any NFPA 98 deficiencies in hood system.
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports.
  • Must follow photo documentation process.
  • Follow all company safety rules and procedures.
  • All services use a combination of hot water pressure washing, degreasers, and scrapers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation (required).
  • Prior hood cleaning or pressure washing experience preferred (training provided).
  • Must have a flexible schedule to work nights and early mornings (when client locations are typically closed). This is a graveyard position.
  • Must be able to diagnose and trouble-shoot technical and equipment functions on customer and company equipment.
  • Must be able to perform physical maintenance work and have the ability to lift 50-70lbs.
  • Must practice personal and environmental safety on the job using protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, reliable, and honest.
  • Must be a team-player who interacts well with the team.
  • Must pass a criminal background and DMV record check.
