HOLISTIC YOUTH & FAMILY ADVISOR II (HYFA)
JOB DESCRIPTION & PURPOSE

We are currently searching to fill the Holistic Youth & Family Advisor I or II (HYFA) position for of our teams covering the Danville, Pittsylvania County, Martinsville, and Halifax County areas. Purpose:
Our goal is to positively impact at-risk youth (Ages 5-21) AND their families that are faced with single to multiple barriers of success in life. We work to promote healthy family balances, positive interactions, and sustainability that leads to healthy growth. Our focus is to strengthen families at the foundational level while sustaining the effort for family reunification when applicable.
HYFA Duties/Responsibilities:
• Responsible for meeting with the assigned clients(s) for agreed-upon time frames and assigned hours the HYFA is expected to obtain. The HYFA will be responsible for driving positive outcomes
- Provide therapeutic strategies and techniques to help the youth and family meet identified goals
- Maintain high quality documentation of all sessions, incident reports, and treatment plans
- Act as a resource and guide to youth and/or parents and legal guardians of at risk youth facing single to multiple barriers in life.
- Work closely with agency staff, case managers, and other case stakeholders through phone contact, in-person conferences, and group meetings.
- Serve as an example/role model upholding the Life Push brand and expectation of excellence at ALL TIMES.
- Accept and relate to clients who may not always share the therapeutic mentor's lifestyle and values.
- Support the youth while maintaining the proper respect for the clients' right to self-determination and independence. Requirements/Qualifications:
- Must be able and willing to work flexible hours - (afternoon, evenings, and some weekends)
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Educational Requirement: 4-year degree from an accredited institution in psychology, counseling, human services, sociology, social work, or any other human services related degree.
- Must be willing to submit to and pass a thorough background check prior to working.
- Must have a valid driver's license with the ability to provide a copy of your current driving record. (Driving record must be in good standing)
- Must have reliable transportation with valid insurance
- Must be open to cultural differences and willingness to go through company orientation and training before being paired with a client.
- Must have and demonstrate good listening skills, patience and a sense of awareness
- Must adhere to deadlines and expectations for client safety.

Requirements/Qualifications:

- Must hold at least a high school diploma or equivalent for the Holistic Youth & Family Advisor I position
- Must hold at least a 4-year degree in a human service related field for the Holistic Youth & Family Advisor II position
- Must be willing to submit to and pass a thorough background check
- Must be willing and able to pass a drug test
- Must have a valid driver's license with the ability to provide a copy of your current driving record. (Driving record must be in good standing)
- Must have reliable transportation with valid insurance
- Must be comfortable and efficient using computers
- Must be comfortable with learning how to use an electronic record management system
- Must be able to effectively write reports related to service plans
- Must have a thorough understanding on how to properly carry out treatment plans
- Open to cultural differences and willingness to go through company orientation and training before being paired with a client
- Must have and demonstrate good listening skills, patience and a sense of awareness
- Must adhere to deadlines and expectations for client safety.
