Our client located in Coastal California is seeking a HIM Manager to work at a Critical Access Hospital.

Must have Your RHIT or RHIA. Degree in Health Information or health related field preferred.

Will serve as the HIPAA Privacy Officer.

JOB SUMMARY

Manages and oversees the management of the legal medical record, release of information, and birth

registry activities for the Hospital and Clinics, ensuring compliance with all applicable internal

and external legal regulatory, and accreditation, requirements for medical records. Provides daily oversight and

management to Hospital and Clinics HIM / medical records staff that complete record management activities

(processing, prepping, scanning, and indexing) birth registry, and release of information functions. Assists healthcare

providers with access and use of the electronic legal medical record. Oversees Clinic Medical Record Supervisor to ensure

compliance with internal and external medical record requirements, adequate staffing, and equitable scheduling and

timely completion of duties.
