Highways Site Engineer
Location: Bristol
Rate: £32.00 per hour (Umbrella)
About the Role:
A Local Authority in Bristol is seeking an experienced Highways Site Engineer to support the delivery of a range of highway schemes. This is an excellent opportunity to work on meaningful infrastructure projects that impact the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting out for a variety of highway works and schemes
- Liaising with sub-contractors and site personnel to ensure smooth project execution
- Ensuring works are completed in line with design specifications and health & safety standards
- Accurate use of surveying and setting-out equipment
- Supporting site inspections and reporting progress to project managers
Requirements:
- Proven experience in highways site engineering and setting out
- Proficiency with surveying instruments
- Strong communication and coordination skills, particularly with sub-contractors
- Full UK driving licence - driving to and from sites is essential
Desirable:
- Previous experience working with or for a Local Authority on highways projects
