High-speed Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer - Bay Area

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of high-performance analog integrated circuits, including amplifiers, data converters, voltage regulators, and other critical signal processing components.
- Conduct detailed circuit design simulations, verification, and validation to ensure superior performance and reliability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with digital design, layout, and system architecture teams to ensure seamless integration of analog and digital components.
- Innovate by researching and implementing advanced design methodologies, ensuring the company remains ahead of industry trends.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Participate in design reviews, offering critical feedback and contributing to process improvements.
- Support testing, characterization, and debugging of ICs, working closely with test engineers to optimize performance and production yield.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation of design specifications, methodologies, and test results.
Qualifications & Experience:
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, specializing in CMOS analog/mixed-signal integrated circuit design.
- 10+ years of experience in analog/mixed-signal IC development in advanced CMOS processes (PhD research experience may be considered).
- Proven track record of successful tape-outs with leading foundries.
- Strong expertise in analog/mixed-signal circuit design, including OpAmps, bandgap references, and voltage/current reference circuits.
- Proficiency with industry-standard EDA tools and design methodologies (eg, Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics).
- In-depth understanding of key design principles, such as mismatch mitigation, linearity, stability, low-power, and low-noise techniques.
- Hands-on experience in analog/mixed-signal IC development from concept to high-volume production, including layout supervision and bench characterization.
- Strong experience in system-level analog/mixed-signal design and FinFET node technologies.
- Proven ability to develop innovative architectures and circuit solutions tailored to customer requirements.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with both independent and collaborative work styles.
Compensation & Employment Details:
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Location: Bay Area
- Compensation Range: $200,000 - $400,000 per year (commensurate with experience and expertise)
