Networking & Operating Systems Security Instructor (CIP CODE: 11.0901) - MBIT is seeking a qualified and passionate professional to fill the position of Networking & Operating Systems Security Instructor. Our program is a CompTIA Authorized Academy and offers students the opportunity to study a variety of topics, including Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, in which students will obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to install, configure, administer, and support the primary services of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems. Students will delve deeper into the realm of virtual computing and explore its applications in the computer sector. They will also study computer forensics, which is a subset of forensic science focused on retrieving legal evidence from computers and digital storage devices. Moreover, they will gain insights into network cabling technology, covering topics such as copper cabling systems, connectors, grounding techniques, bonding, electrical safeguards, termination processes, and safety precautions.

Responsibilities:
- Provide quality occupational instruction to Career and Technical Education students to prepare them with pre-professional experiences in networking and operating system security occupations.
- Prepare students to apply knowledge and skills in the field.
- Program development and enhancing curriculum to remain current and providing effective instruction and supervision of all students.
- Build professional relationships with local business and industry partners to establish potential work sites for students.
- Conduct all classroom activities as validated by the Occupational Advisory Committee.
- Maintain appropriate professional certificates and licenses as required.
- Capable of fulfilling all job responsibilities as indicated in the MBIT Teacher Job Description.
Required Qualifications:
- Eligible to obtain Pennsylvania certification in Career and Technical Instruction(2600) or Network Systems Technology (2560) strongly preferred
- Successful completion of the Computer Systems Networking PA Occupational Competency Assessment.
- Minimum of four (4), preferably, seven (7) years of documented wage-earning experience.
- Computer proficiency required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Three (3) years' experience in career and technical teaching; good oral and written communications skills.
Conditions of Employment:
- The successful candidate must complete PDE-required college course work & certification process if not already certified.
